hi, i've been on generic adderall (amphetamine salts) for ADD for about 8 months now and it was working just fine until i got my script refilled this month...the pills look exactly the same but don't seem to have the same effect. it almost feels like they are really weak...and my symptoms dont seem to stay under control for the usual 5-6 hours. also seem to be giving me a bit of a headache everytime i take them.

my question is...is it possible that this specific batch of pills has something wrong with it? i know adderall has a risk of tolerance but it wouldn't just suddenly appear with my refill! if this is, in fact, possible, what do i do? call the pharmacy?

I have read that some drugstores are getting bootleg drugs that are very weak or out of date. They often don't know it. Discuss this with your pharmacist. If he doesn't exchange the medicine next time change drug stores.

YES it's possible! I actually found your question because I was looking up Q & A for the exact same issue AND prescription!
When you take a medication for so many years you KNOW when something's not right! If you haven't contacted your pharmacy yet than you should deff. do so asap! (That is, if this is not a super old post; as the device I'm using did not show dates of these posts like the comp. would.)
Good Luck!

Hi, althought it is possible to get a bad batch of a certain drug, you seem to be experiencing one of the side effects of Adderall (headache). As long as this is not a prolonged and severere headache there should be nothing to worry about but you should talk to your MD. Adderall can have a number of interactions with other drugs and the side effects can be quite severe. You should have nothing to worry about but please talk to your MD as soon as you can. Good luck.

Dont take anymore, it could be anything from a bad batch to you developing an allergy. Go see your doctor and tell him the problem. Neither you or anyone on yahoo answers is capable of solving this one for you.
