This is pretty urgent!
I need some Primary quotes (quotes that were said at the time) from the Battle of Midway. Anything would be greatly appreciated!

Please reference!

Staff officer at CINCPAC after codebreakers provided basic objectives of Japanese plan to attack Midway: "Our man in Tokyo is worth every cent we pay him."

A Marine air commander at Midway Island filed a report about the Brewster F2A Buffalo fighter, which was hopelessly outclassed by the Japanese Zero: "Any pilot taking off in an F2A should be considered lost upon leaving the ground."

Don't know who said these, but they are the quotes I remember best from reading about it.

Because your answer is in reference to "turning", I have to say Midway. The Pacific conflict started out very much in Japan's favor and was still quite up in the air when Midway occured. It essentially put the Japanese on the defensive for the remainder of the war. That is the definition of a turning point. Overlord, though a major major huge deal, was not a turning point. The conflict in Europe had already turned against Germany by 1944. Things had been easing in the allies favor for quite some time and Overlord wasn't a bold, unexpected move to counter a German offensive. The German's offense was over... they knew the allies were coming, they were already on the defensive.
