My boyfriend came over tonight for dinner. Well here at my house we can't fool around like we do at his place. 2 different households. After dinner we were watching tv n' he started hinting that he wanted us to take a drive & have a "quickie". I didn't want 2. Not that I'm a prude & wouldn't, but because I simply didn't feel like it & just felt it could wait a day or so for when I go to his house . Its not like we never do it. So anyway, I told him no I didn't want to. He kind of gave me an attitude, like this grouchy expression. So a bit later he left to go home. He didn't call me which was fine, but he'll usually if not almost always text me just to say I love you, or whatever. Well, I didn't hear from him at all since he left. I can only interpret it as he was mad because I didn't give in. We just spent this past Thurs-Sunday 2gether at his house. I wanted to just relax today n' chill. So am I wrong? Or is he being selfish? We see eachother all the time and ALWAYS have sex.

He is notorious for ignoring me when he's mad. Then the next morning on his way to work, I'll get a sweet text from him as if nothing is wrong.

Just wanted to add...we've been together 2 1/2 years so it's more than just sex. Plus we're not exactly teenagers but I guess some men are just like that. We actually have a wonderful sex life. We can't get enough of eachother as it is.

There's something to be said about when you feel slightly 'rejected' by your lover when you want some. he probably just has a higher sex drive than you (typical guy) and knows that when you two are at your house, 'it' doesnt really happen for him...hence why he probably wanted to be at his, where it could.
however, the acting all sweet and like nothing happened probably means that he went home, got his rocks off, felt better and slept off the 'rejection.' to him-nothing was really wrong.

no. you're not wrong. i'm glad to hear that you stood your ground and said no when you didnt want it. but he's not necessarily being selfish....he's being a guy. when they get horny, they tend not to be thinking with the head that's behind their eyes and between their ears. it's seriously like someone else is there...

its something that you almost just have to shrug off and deal with every so often. esp when you dont live together and you're just dating. talk to him so he's at least aware of how you feel (leave communication lines open-your relationship will never survive if they're closed down) when that kinda thing happens and hopefully he'll make enough note of it that he wont be as rude next time you just want to chill and not have sex. but know that he's not the only one that does that kinda crap. it sucks, i know.
hope this helps a little.

You must understand that men need sex like they need food. They really can't live without it. But hearing this story about your boyfriend, I would say yeah. He was being a bit selfish. He should be able to control his urges and understand when you don't feel like it. My suggestion is, sit and talk to him about it. Make him understand. Make him know that you understand how important sex is for men. Conversation is the key.

it maybe a bit selfish but you may have have hurt his ego which is why he is mad.it might have been the way you said you did not want to.we should be careful when we turn down those kinds of request from men...you should assure him that you love doing it with him but you are just not currently in that zone, but you should at least promise to make it up to him next time.

That jus seems to be the way he handles what he sees as rejection...
He does cool down n get bk to normal in less than a day right...so u've got nothing to worry abt.
He;s jus being a typical guy abt it!

sounds like a selfish spoiled brat if you ask me---nothing wrong with a lot of sex---but sometimes one person or the other just isnt in the mood for whatever reason and their partner should respect that---he sounds pretty childish--you need a more mature person

He sounds a little selfish. When I was dating I would give strikes. 3 and they were out. I was a bit of a b--tch, but I dated the nicest guys ever. Nice guys don't treat you bad. I don't like to be ignored so I would of give that one his 3rd strike and sent him off.

No your are not wrong. You should ONLY have sex because you want to. . .that is, either you want to do it for him or not, or you want it for you both, or you don't want it at all....IT IS YOUR CHOICE.

IGNOR HIS RANTINGS, HE WILL THE NEXT DAY, AS YOU SAID. Men would pump everyday if you let them. I don't think many of them ever get tired.

I hope you are taking precautions not to get pregnant and are practicing safe sex. How long do you think he would ignore you if you told him you were pregnant?
