id say it would be around 82- 84.. I believe they were special forces..they were on the ground being fired apon when the america plane came in firing at hostiles...Then you heard the pilot yell HERE WE COME and then the song "I cant get no satisfaction" from the stones started to play...

The song, "Satisfaction" was used as part of the soundtrack in only Two Movies/Shows about Vietnam
"Apocalypse Now" (1979)
"Vietnam: A Television History" (1983)
This second choice is a 13 episode TV series that was more of a Political documentary of the war.
Thses are the only two to feature that song. there are others but they are not war movies or shows.

It was in "Apocalypse Now" that came out in around '79 and it could be that film...just too long ago since I have seen it to remember the specifics.
The song was also in a lesser popular movie that came out in the early '80's starring James Brolin and Anthony Quinn, but was not a war movie, just four friends that did a commando like raid to steal money from a drug dealer in South America called "High Risk".

i don't care how old this is but i have NEVER heard any song from a video game on the radio! i haevn't even heard songs from classic disney movies on the radio so i have to rely on online radio to hear them! the only songs on the radio r ones by popular singers that the record labels pay the stations to play im so sick of the same 5 songs in a row we need more variety & diversity with music on the radio! we need a non-online radio station dedicated to video games & classic disney music from everything up to the 90's im thinking like radio disney but only for old disney songs but it will never happen! people would rather hear the same old over-rated & popular top 40 songs! i will admit i do like some of the top 40 songs but we need more variety it sucks! this is why online radio exists!

I think that 84 Charliemopic best vietnam movie ever. Wasn't that the same one that had heat wave by linda rohnstadt? It would have been PLATOON , hamburger hill?
