I've had two dreams now (that i can recall atleast) where i'm fighting someone. but my arms are very weak and my punches have no power. i dont feel weak but i feel defenseless.

last night i had the dream about a friend of a friend who is openly rude to me, she attacked me and was "girl fighting" and i was trying to punch and kick her but they would either fall short or if they did contact my arms would be kind of heavy all of a sudden and i wouldn't hit hard enough.
there was more involving hallway drama and what not. it's also very frustrating because i'm in college not highschool. i have more a problem with her than my dream though i suppose.

It's because you hate her guts that's why !

and on top of that you may have created a low pressure or cramped your body parts from wrong sleeping position; just like dreaming of urgently looking for a "toilet" when your bladder are full during sleep.

Certainly points out the situation with you and the "friend". Sounds like you feel absolutely so frustrated you are even dreaming about her. Just remember that people that are rude only show how weak they truly are. She's picking on you because she's decided she can get away with it and you won't do much of anything about it and I'll bet she thinks all of it makes her look bigger in some way. I was in a similiar situation and I just ignored it and I still regret it to this day. Very occasionally I still end up in her presence and I wish I had just strangled her. I've backed her off enough now but wish I had just called her in the beginning. She finally walked into a restaurant where I was having lunch with a friend. She informed me she wanted to talk to my friend and I would have to leave. That was so overboard, I had to laugh at her and that was the end of it. And this dummy teaches college. Poor kids.

You are fighting in your dream which indicates a struggle. You try to fight, or stand up for yourself, indicating you either know what you need to do about a struggle and are not taking action, or you feel you are not getting anywhere with the struggle. In your dream, when you hit and kick, you are not connecting, which indicates something is slowing you down, weighing you down, holding you back, interfering with your progress. Whatever the issue is, it is something that is emotional for you because people normally fight for things that they feel strongly about. Also, noticing how you feel in your dream can help determine what the dream means. If you feel frustrated, then whatever it is holding you back is frustrating you. If you feel embarrassed because you can't make a connection when you are fighting, you are probably embarrassed by the fact that you are not succeeding at something. If you are angry, then maybe your anger is holding you back from releasing issues and moving on. If you keep having the same or similar dreams, it means your dreams are trying to tell you something important or something that is foremost on your mind, even if you don't think it is.

I have dreamt that I was fighting before and I had the same exact experience. It was as if I could not hit hard enough, and felt like my arm's were super heavy. My theory is that we are literally punching the matress and therefore we can not "hit" hard enough.
