Baptism and forgiveness have historical and denominational biases.
I will offer my own as a Reformed Protestant. I believe baptism is a sign of the covenant, a sign and seal to believing parents that their child is part of the covenant, set apart for God.
But, the covenant is not an automatic entrance into the Kingdom of God, the covenant has both blessings, and cursings.
I believe baptism is a sign and seal of God's eternal plan, and is a sign of faith or condemnation. God's sign is both a blessing and a curse. A blessing for those who believe and are baptized, and a curse for those who reject the truth and are baptized unto judgment.

you are not forgiven because of baptized or do u need to feel something good or some rejoicing feeling.
JESUS i am sinner forgive my sins be the LORD of life i am yours from now on simply as that.
now u might feel something or u might not but that doesnt mean u are saved.
i read this once if u dont feel like you are married doesnt mean u arnt married.its by faith we are saved not by feelings
JESUS loves you.Have u recieved JESUS for the forgiveness of your sins?
John 3:16[kjv] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
so when we believe in JESUS we have eternal life.JESUS lived a sinless life and gave up his life as a sacrifice so we can be sin free. Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and cleanse ur past with the blood JESUS shed on the cross.
With a simple prayer like above u can be saved.JESUS loves u and wants u to be saved.

Your sins are forgiven when you ask God to forgive you for them.
Being baptized may make you feel enlightened but all you have to do is just ask :) He loves you. God is love. He will never give you more than you can handle.
Would you like to get saved? Ask God into your heart and he will come into you and change your life. You were ment to get this message. All Christains want to take as many people with them as they can into the Kingdom of Heaven.
God is LOVE. And he loves everyone. And he forgives you. Take those burdens that are thriving deep inside of youand give them to him. You dont need them anymore. Pray for those who hurt you and have faith. Good Luck God is love help spread the word, you can save some lifes. and yes you can do it God Bless You

Baptism is an outward expression of a life transformed by Jesus. Forgiveness of sins happens when you ask for forgiveness, and accept the free gift of salvation which is given to everyone through Christ. Not all will receive the gift though unless you take it. It is free, not cheap so once saved we want to live that transformed life.

Your sins are forgiven when you confess them to God in true repentance. 1 John 1 v 9. As Christians, we believe that Jesus died in our place on the cross, He paid the price for our sins and we are forgiven by accepting Him as personal Lord and Saviour and by our confessing our sins to Him and asking Him for His forgiveness. Forgiveness of sin is an act of grace of God towards us.
Baptism is something we do in obedience to Jesus' command and as an outward show and declaration before others that we choose to follow Jesus and to come under His Lordship. Sins are not forgiven when we are baptised but when we confess them to God in true repentance.
It is possible that most people feel better about themselves after baptism but that is just the feeling of joy and the experience of feeling good. Even one who is not baptised but believe in Jesus Christ can enter into Heaven - remember the thief who was crucified together with Jesus. He made the right choice at the dying moments of his life as he hung on the cross beside Jesus and Jesus said, "Today, you will be with me in paradise". Baptism is only a symbolic act of faith to let others know our decision to follow Christ and not an act to forgive sins.

John 3:5 says "and Jesus said unto them, verily verily i say unto you, unless ye be born in both the water and the spirit ye can not enter into the kingdom of heaven"
it is essential for full emersion water baptism to enter into Heaven.
Rom. 6: 4
4 Therefore we are aburied with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

acts 2:38'then peter said unto them, repent and be Baptized everyone of you IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS, then ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost". Baptism is not just an outward act of obedience.the word shows that unless it is done there is no remission of sins.it also shows that THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST MUST BE CALLED,not the title's Father, son ,Holy Ghost.but the NAME JESUS CHRIST,for this is the NAME of the Father, son,Holy Ghost.there is no other Name given to men by which they can be saved ! "Jesus answered, verily, verily I say unto thee, unless a man be born of water and of the spirit,he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God." john3:5.Jesus also says"He that Believeth and is baptized shall be saved;but He that believeth not shall be damned".mark16:16.all who don't believe that we must be baptized to be saved call Jesus Christ a lire and are damned.without baptism in THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST there is no remission of sins.the word says so ! read it for yourself and see,it must be done. may the peace of The Lord GOD JESUS CHRIST be with you.

It is a ritual to help you forgive yourself and change your ways.
In the OT when you went to war you were unclean for 7 days. You had to wash the 'blood' off of yourself on the 3rd and 7th day, then you were clean. This was to help you psychologically wash the 'blood' off your hands and help with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) by saying god forgives you if you do this.
Who are you to not forgive yourself if GOD forgives you? Do you see how this is supposed to help you forgive yourself and start with a clean slate?
