Weird question.. But we have an older cat (Female), That has always been skinny all her life (Never fixed). Well we moved to a new place and lost a cat (a sister) we had.. And got a male kitten a few months later.. Well.. Now my old cat is getting fat.(I truly believe it's because she is more happier she is in her new place, and sadly to say, lost her sister).. But my wife keeps thinking Buddy (our kitten) got her pregnant!..(which I doubt)
So.. When is the earliest a male kitten can impregnate a female cat?

I've had many male cats, and the vet told me that I must have the kitten snipped at the age of 6 months, otherwise they would start straying off.

I would imagine that is the age at which they become fertile.

usually around 6 months at the youngest. I'd say 5 at the absolute freakishly one in a million chance youngest.

neuter him before he begins spraying! If he's 6 months old or older, call your vet today!! Make an appointment for this week!! f he's 4 or 5 months, still call the vet and make arrangements!! If he's neutered BEFORE he begings spraying, I guarantee he never will. Tom spraying is very foul smelling and can ruin a house. IF he gets in the habit, Nothing will be able to "Train him not to." And, once in the h abit, neutering may not stop it. Do it BEFORE he starts!!

And why isn't your female speyed? Call the local shelter and find out how many cats they euthanize each week because there aren't enough homes. Speying and neutering is the only responsible thing.

All lady cats, in spite of breed, are fertile between 5 and six months. in the experience that your male bred together with her, its very achieveable that she could be pregnant. The yowling is a confident sign that she is in season. you may wait some weeks and take her to the vet to study for being pregnant. 9 months isn't too youthful for a clutter. with any luck you intend on getting her spayed.

Yes, rule of thumb is about 6 months, but if there is a fertile female around, especially if they live in close quarters, things can get going a little sooner....

Usually they start hving sex after 12 months, but as early as 6 months is possible, if they happen to turn 6 months at the time of year it is mating season.
