Why do you think religion is about guilt? Feelings of guilt result from violating ones conscience. A religious person might feel guilty if he were unfaithful to his wife. A non-religious person might feel the same way. Or are atheists non-principled?

I don't feel guilt with my religion. Religion is about faith, and a higher cause. It is about holding on to something you hold dear and putting your life and faith completely into it.
Guilt stems from the individual not the religion.

If I provide help to recognize what to do, will you do it? ok then - masturbate once you prefer to, and don't sense to blame, in view which you need no longer. young little ones masturbate once or twice an afternoon on universal, and it by no potential motives any project in any respect. clarify? unquestionably. Many Christians, myself lined, see masturbation as a recent from God (see first link under), which ought to be enjoyed wholeheartedly and gratefully. it incredibly isn't any longer particularly forbidden everywhere interior the Bible; the Catholic church inteprerts scripture as asserting it incredibly is a sin, yet it incredibly is basically one interpretation. Many Anglicans, as an occasion, are in prefer. in basic terms 10 % of time-honored church-goers evaluate masturbation a sin. i think incredibly sorry for Catholic boys; you the two masturbate, and sense to blame; or refrain, and sense rather pissed off. keep in mind that your church additionally forbids its monks to marry, while clergy in maximum different denominations are completely unfastened to realize this. those are basically 2 of the excuses why i'm a Christian, yet no longer a Catholic. consistent with possibility you could desire to evaluate no count number if the Catholic church may well be incorrect on a number of those factors? At any fee, study the hyperlinks intently, and discover out how human beings think of. At 13 you're sufficiently old to start thinking for your self, and that i wish you will.

Funny; I have never met anyone who converted to a religion because they wanted to have more guilt in their life.
Usually it is the opposite reason; people who feel guilty about something that they have done usually turn to religion as a way of resolving their guilt, so that they don't feel it anymore.
Christianity is about redemption, not guilt.

My religion isn't about guilt. I dont feel guilty about anything.
My religion does not force me feel anything. I feel what I feel on my own. My God lifts me up. Shows me unconditional love and expects me to show it too.
I may not know all the religions of the world, but I know mine, and guilt is not a part it.

In principle, I agree with you...or I at least understand what you are saying and why you are saying it.
And, ask you (and others) to consider the following:
Religion is all about guilt if you allow it--or accept the guilt.
And just what is it that one has to believe in order to make "feel horrible'?
Where is this source of 'guilt, shame and blame'?
It is my opinion that MAN instituted, enforced and continues to foster the concept of guilt and NOT God!!!
I believe it is used to gain and maintain control.
I ask you and others to consider (more towards contemplate) the following:
...that guilt is the result of you listening or trying to please "a god" that exists OUTSIDE of yourself versus you listening and/or obeying "the god" which is WITHIN you...
Consider the following quote from spiritual teacher and author Joseph J Dewey:
"Guilt is a negative force that focuses Attention on your imperfection and paralyzes your power of decision. It is caused by your allowing your attention to be placed on some outside authority who has taken the place of the God within. If God, or the power of God, is seen as existing in some man or influence from without then this entity has power to control you through guilt and thus control you through fear and depression."

transfer: Yes - religion will leave you feeling guilty since religion's message is "You are SIN and God wants to get you" ... Christianity [real] message says, " You do sin and God still loves you and wants you to have a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ [Grace]". Religion is toxic; whereas, Christianity is non-toxic. One is legalistic and the other is relational [unconditional love].

I don't feel horrible, and I don't believe Christianity is all about guilt. It's about grace. I believe in a God of love and grace, who accepts people as they are.
