The answer to that question is a resounding yes . Your question jumped off the page at me because I too am in my fortys and there was a time in my life after my twenty five year marriage ended that I honestly believed that I not only wouldn't find love again but I believed I no longer wanted it!
I'm delighted to have been wrong on both issues . When I turned forty I moved to a small tourist town in Arkansas .I rented a small appartment in a highrise .Though I had made some friends fairly easily .....I found myself feeling lonely . Even so I wouldn't give a guy a second look no matter how they may have appealed to me phisically . Then one day I was down stairs in the lounge of my building and in walked this guy with long hair and the brightest blue eyed smile I had ever seen . Still even though I thought him handsome . I didnt want him to know it . To hear him tell it . He swears to this day I turned up my nose at him . I learned that he worked with one of the handicaped residents in my building and came every day twice a day to do his job . Well one day, a particularly bad day , I had the flu and was so sick I was out of it . So I put some chicken on to boil intending to make some broth to drink and fellasleep while it was cooking . As you can imagine it caught on fire and at the time even my smoke alarms didn't go off . Well this beautiful guy happened to see smoke pouring out of my appartment and he beat on the door and woke me up . If it hadnt of been for him . Theres no telling what might have happened . He promptly pulled me out of my apartment put out the fire and cleared all the smoke out of it . Then he came to check on me and I was so sick and looked my absolute worse ....I was so sick and horrified that I didnt want to look him in the eye....when he gently raised my chin up to look at me . He said "Are you ok"? From that moment on I was mesmerised by those kind beautiful blue eyes . He asked if it would be ok for him to come back that evening and check on me and of course I told him yes!!!!!!!!!
Well we have been together for the last two years and I couldn't be happier or more in love . So YESSSSSS . There is a chance you will find love again . My hope and prayers are with you .

YES, you can. I am almost 70 and I found a good man who is 65. And my health is not as good as yours. I have a bad knee and can't take walks. And I have had a couple of major operations.
