The latter is probably the more...wtf? of the two, but I think a woman wearing a man's button down shirt and a pair of boxers or underwear is just downright sexy.

delana, that is my god given right. Plus I saw someone say that the bible says that this was wrong, and I wanted to see if I could get some clarification. Why must you answer my questions but without an actual answer?

kolya, I'm not intolerant of cross-dressers. I love drag-queens. I've never met nicer people.

4Christ, do you even own a bible? That is NOT what Deuteronomy 21:22 says....

The Bible is way too old to be taking ideas from it. I'm not giving up my jeans...and my husband is not giving up his speedos (jk he's not even here to voice his opinion.) :)
I think a woman wearing a button down shirt is sexy as can be. The bible is for old fuddie duddies.

Answers are taking a Biblical slant though the question wasn't asked that way. But since it's in there, look at the matter two ways - with and without the Bible. I see two issues, and two answers. One : does the Bible condemn cross-dressing and do we care ? Two : on general ethical or other grounds are we against cross-dressing ?
Can't see why, IF the Bible rules out cross-dressing, we should pay any more attention to this bit of finger-wagging than we do to the Bible rule not to eat rock-badger unless we follow the Bible's every (not always consistent) word.
On general ethical, aesthetic or other grounds, can't see it matters a monkey's what people wear. Cross-dressing, well 'It ain't me, babe', as Bob Dylan sang about something else but how anyone could see moral right or wrong here is beyond me.

As already noted, according to most translations, Moses seemed to have a problem with it. Interpret that how ever you want to...
-----edit---
It is Deuteronomy 22:5, NOT chapter 21 (or verse 22). Someone made a typo.

there is a sure way to find out...
1. go up to a 280 lb Scottsman wearing a kilt and call him a cross-dressing p*ussy.
2. go up to a Greek honor guardsman wearing a skirt and stockings and call him a sissy girl...
try it, herein lies an answer to your question. I think either or both should work well.
clothes we wear are just a reflection of our cultural heritage, skirt does not make a woman and pants do not make a man

I don't care what anyone else wears. That is strictly their decision, their business. If a man wants to wear a dress, fine! (in Scotland, as a matter of fact...:)).
But if you mean on the grand scale of society -- well, it smiles upon women in men's cloths. But men in dresses is another story. Hmmm, methinks me smells a bias.

Yeah, the latter is really weird, but plenty of woman wear mens' clothes, and that doesn't make them lesbians either, as a lot of people will probably say.

Here is what the word of God says about the subject, "A woman must not wear men's clothing, nor a man wear women's clothing, for the Lord your God detests anyone who does this." Deuteronomy 21:22

didn't men wear dress type things in 'biblical times' anyways.....?.
Deuteronomy 21:22 doesn't say anything about cross dressing. It talks about hanging people from trees on your land.

Absolutely nothing wrong. But there is something is wrong with the people who don't like cross-dressing. They tend to be closed-minded, intolerant and stupid.

No, there is nothing wrong with cross dressing, it's just good fun, and there is no way that it says you can't cross dress in the Bible.
