I hate not being able to answer these type questions when my father calls me for info so I purchased the Blue Book of Gun Values collection. The following info is from the book and 99.9% correct.

ITHACA GUN COMPANY LLC

Previous manufacturer located in Ithaca, NY from 1883-1986, King Ferry, NY circa 1989-2005, and Auburn, NY right before it closed in June, 2005.
Ithaca Gun Company, LLC had resumed production on the Model 37 slide action shotgun and variations during 1989, and then relocated to King Ferry, NY shortly thereafter. In the past, Ithaca also absorbed companies including Syracuse Arms Co., Lefever Arms Co., Union Fire Arms Co., Wilkes-Barre Gun Co., as well as others.

Model 51A Featherlight Standard

- 12 or 20 ga., 30 in. full, 28 in. full or mod., 26 in. imp. cyl., gas operated, autoloading, checkered pistol grip stock. Vent. rib became standard during late production. Mfg. 1970-1985.

100%--- 98%--- 95%--- 90%--- 80%--- 70%--- 60%

Older models w/o VR

$250--- $230-- $200--- $180-- $165--- $150-- $130

Recent production (w/VR)

$295--- $265-- $235--- $210-- $190--- $175-- $165

Last MSR with VR was $477.

Base your value on the condition in percentage. 100% = Basicly new. 50% would be almost non working with removed bluing and bad woodwork. The values listed above are up to date.

If you need any more info please feel free to contact me.

Good Luck & Happy Shooting !!!!!

The value of the gun will vary based on condition. The two I have are in fair to good condition and worth $250-400. The best place for all other questions is at ithacagun.com. The people there can and will give you all the information that you are looking for.
good luck
