OK, so I was at a carnival, and there was a ride called the zipper, and i rode it 5 times with my friend who i like but who already has a bf, and we held hands the last 3 times we went on it, and now i want to tell the bf because due to a computer error my other friend is teling everybody and i dont' want it to get twisted thru the grapevine. My friend and I are going to tell him tomrrow morning, but since he's my friend i don't want to piss him off too much cuz hes a good friend. What should I say to him? I don't even know how we ended up holding hands, one minute we were sitting there and the next we were holding hands. I'm in 8th grade so find something age-appropriate to say, and don't say i'm too young because that doesn't help me any.

The person I held hands with isn't the person who is telling people, they r different people, they are both jsut girls. It's gotten so bad that everyone is calling me and telling me either to run or I'm an As*hole.

Yes he will most likely be pissed, but having the guts to tell him, shows the kind of person you are and that being honest and truthfull is important to you. Just give the boyfirend time and some space with your friend to patch things up and to restore the trust between them.

Dude, just stick with the "it just happened, it's no big deal" response. Tell him "I think she just reached out during the ride and my hand was there." Insist it was only one time.
However, if you like the girl, tell him how she made out with you after the ride. That will break up their relationship. Then insist to her that you said "no such thing" and you wouldn't "treat such a beautiful girl like a tramp" which is what he's apparently spreading around.
Remember, you're young, your friends are young, just think about the consequences for everyone before you say anything.
A careful lie here and there can sway anyone. How else do you think politics on a world theater play out... same concept.

If you were just holding hands, and you are just friends, then I don't think there is anything wrong with that. It's not like you were making out. Holding hands can just be a friendly thing...
I think you just have to decide what you are comfortable with, and what she is comfortable with, and try to respect his wishes too. So just say something like
"You might hear about this from someone else and I just thought I should tell you first so that you know its not something bad..." And then just tell him the truth! If he gets mad, which I don't think he will because its honest, then just explain that you didn't mean anything by it.

Holding hands on a ride like the zipper is no mortal sin. If you were holding hands it was probably just for support to keep from being bounced around.

you let her tell it to him. if you three think that just holding hands on a ride is so serious that it means that she was cheating on her boyfriend with you and now you two are in a serious relationship...ick. But anyway if you two really like each other and she wants to break up with him it's up to her to do it. Since the bf is your friend well... you're probably not going to be friends with him much longer because in middle school people are really fickle like this.
don't dwell on it too much and please be careful with your email!

ask your girl friend to stop telling everyone and tell her that if it's okay with her, you would like to tell your friend yourself. that way, your friend won't feel like both of you are ganging up on him and he'll be let down down a whole lot easier. be very careful what you say.
hey... why are you telling your friend about you and your other friend holding hands? it's not a big deal unless she's planning on dumbing him for you. if not, i see no reason to tell him...
it's like saying "hey, guess what! i held your girlfriend's hand. are you jelious?"

About all you can do is tell him what you've said here--that you don't know how it is you came to hold hands with his girlfriend, but you did it. Then tell him that it didn't go any further than that and that you aren't going to go after the girl.
And, man, that's rough, considering you like her. Sorry.

You held her hand??? Is that punishable by law? Look, 13 yr old girls want ALL the attention from EVERYBODY. It was just your turn. Deal with it. It was a non-event.
