I have known this girl for bout 6 months now, she is coming back in town from school next week and I asked her if she would like some lunch since we had already done coffee during her spring break, she said yeah so i'm thinking of doing it mid-week? i also asked her if she would like a walk in the park (as a friendly offer) and she said sure

I do like her but I also dont wanna ruin anything which is our friendship (I value that more than anything and dont want it to be ruined by me telling her i like her). I just hope when i asked her for a walk in the park afterwards, that she didnt take it the wrong way...something in which she wouldnt want to do..i know she doesnt like me more than a friend even tho she has never directly said it, but has hinted it...

lunch and a walk in the park, as friends, good idea? thanks. i wont ask her to hold hands or anything, lol

Even if you were to hold hands that would not be a bad thing.

Sure, lunch, a walk in the park are fine.

Keep things light and play it by ear.

After a couple of lunch dates, weekdays and later weekends, maybe you will want to invite her to dinner and a movie, let it be dutch the first time or two.

Most importantly, don't press things. Just see how they develop. The best relationships are the ones that grow from friendship.

You are not being honest about your true feelings for her - is that really how you want your friendship to continue? With you thinking about your real feelings for her while portraying different ones to her?

Second, be honest with yourself about your true feelings. Secretly, you HOPE she feels something more for you. There's nothing wrong with that.

It does not have to be an Earth-shattering revelation - and no doubt she would be thrilled to hear that you think so much of her anyway.

Enjoy the time you spend with her and be honest - with her and yourself.

Fine idea. If something grows, that's good, too, but men and women can be friends. I've had some for 30 years now.
