I see people asking about the christian religion why can't there questions about other religions? I'm not being a racist or anything like that because I'm a christian too but I'm so sick of seeing people asking about the same religion why can't there be questions about different religions.

Because this site is in English. The English speaking world is historically and culturally much more influenced by Christianity than by any other single religion.

We get accused of framing the debate in terms of Christian vs. atheist, which is somewhat fair, honestly. But my familiarity is with my former religion. There are some ex-Muslims on here who get pretty frothy about Islam now and again.

I imagine an Arabic R&S would get "Why are the questions always about Islam?" every half hour or so.

It's a matter of demographics, percentages. Simply put, most answerers are from the USA. The USA is predominantly Christian. Christians are so insecure about thier religion they seem compelled, like an alcoholic looking for a drinking buddy, to force thier beliefs on everyone they meet. The one thing I cannot stand is being force fed; regardless of the value of what's being shoved down my throat.

Race has nothing to do with it, and there are other religions asked about if you stick around you will see them, perhaps you might like to ask one, after all the question you asked has to do with christianity doesn't it, it's most likely a percentage thing, christianity has the largest religious following in the world, especially in those countries that use yahoo answers

There are questions about other religions, they just aren't as frequent.

A lot of people here seem to think the only two choices are Christian or Atheist though.

Simple statistics. It's an American website, most of the users are American, and Christianity is the dominant religion in America.

I've actually seen a fair few questions about Islam as well though.

Reason for this is that most of the members are Christians, and to days in the world percentage people are compact in them, they don't want to expose themselves. They read, they know more about chrisianity, therefore obviously the questions too would belongs to it.
