I had a teacher like yours in 7th grade. She was really nasty, just a dispicable woman. She would grab me by the wrist, grab my face, call me stupid. I hated her, I ended up failing almost all of my classes that year. I would say go tell your parent or a principal. I did, and even though they didn't fire her, they took me out of her class. My teacher used to tell me that even if I got a 4 on our Final exams (there was a scale 1-4, 4 being like a 100 and 1 being like a 0) that didn't prove anything, that there was a curve in the exam and that even if I got a 4 I still could've made around a 60 or 70 in normal test grading, and that it didn't make me smart, that I could still be stupid. I hated her, and she sounds alot like your teacher. As I said, go to a higher-up and complain and get the hell out of her class. If they don't allow a class change, threaten to sue.

You have been PHYSICALLY abused? That is a serious offense that can easily get her fired. I have had horrible teachers in my past, but none that have ever dared to lay a hand on me. Definitely tell anyone in authority over her and if she is not relieved of her job, contact the next person up the food chain.
When you say that she claims to be preparing you for high school, it leads me to believe that this "abuse" is more like extra homework and difficult lessons. If so, stop whining and just do it. By the way, my teachers all said that, but my high school, though it is well know for excellent academics, actually had a smaller workload than my middle school.

Go to your school counselor and see if you can get transfered to another class. If she is abusive to other students as well then go to the principal as a group and complain. Strength in numbers. If they do not do anything take it to the school board.
Speaking out will be the only way to make changes. It works. We had a really bad math teacher and a bunch of us went as a group and asked to be transfered and we were. The teacher was fired at the end of the semester.
Good luck.

Talk to your parent(s). Family member. School consoler. Principal. Another teacher. Friend's parent(s). Someone you trust but that will also take you seriously and start actting on your behalf.
You need to tell someone. And fast.
If you don't have anyone to turn to, I suggest calling an Abuse hotline and maybe they can encourage you to tell someone. It is completely annynmous.

She may herself have been abused when in your age; of course that is not excuse for that kind of behaviour. you have to pick up courage and stand up to her, if possible with other pupils who suffer a simillar treatment and refer her case to your parents and to school authorites not only for your sake, but for the sake of other pupils in the future who don't need to suffer in the hand of one emotionally unbalanced and obviously unfit to teach, teacher. I wich courage and streght to get over this.

There is obviously something going on that you're not understanding. I say this because I remember one of my teachers telling the whole class this and Miss Nelson with right !
