20 Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.

The beast being the world government all but now in place, and the false prophet being the world religion(which is in place), I've read and heard it all. What I think about it is how utterly stupid and foolish man consistently is in denying that it is happening before his very eyes. People just aren't too observant these days, or they just want to put their fingers in their ears and go "la la la la la la, I can't see or hear you!!, la la la .", which those who do so I really don't care about; just stop trying to impede those who do care.

This lake of fire is a place reserved for Satan his demons, which is actually a place where they would be 'locked up forever'. But since they are spirits and you can't 'lock up or burn a spirit', so this place is symbolic, to mean that Satan and his demons won't get a chance to harm people anymore.
