Laser removal is very costly, but I do have something that works wonders! I use a Nair product for facial hair. You can buy it at any store that sells personal care products, including Giant Eagle or other grocery stores. Go pick that up. You leave it on the hair for less than 10 minutes, and then you simply wipe it away. It's ridiculously simple. And, yes, it works.

That only will happen the first time unless you're allergic to the wax. You've just never been waxed before that and your skin wasn't used to it. Laser hair removal is very expensive and you have to have multiple visits. I'd guess it'd cost you upwards of $1000 to have all your lip hair removed. You could always shave or use Nair for the face.

Laser or electrology is defiantly a better way to go. When you wax blood rushes to the area and been your face it Carry's a large amount of testosterone so you are effectively feeding the problem. Bleaching or depilatory cream might be worth a try Hope this helps

1) Let the aesthetician know before you get waxed next time. She can let the wax cool a little before applying it and apply a cold compress afterwards.

2) Keep aloe vera, vitamin E oil or Aquaphor Healing Ointment on hand to sooth your upper lip afterwards.

3) Avoid caffeine 1-2 days before getting your upper lip waxed. Try to schedule it about 1.5-2 weeks before your period - you skin is most sensitive the week before your period.

Threading is a good alternative to waxing. For more information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eyebrow_threading

Laser costs a bomb. I have had great success with Revitol hair removal cream. Cheap and side-effect free.... it might be your solution.

I found at this site:

You had a bad experience...Fund someone who uses ceraphil wax... the next time it will be better because the roots will not be so deep.
