Mothers know best! It's best not to risk getting another perm and damaging your hair. If you do damage it, then you'll have to wait until your hair grows out and all damaged hair is cut off. Better wait like your mom said. I straight permed my hair awhile back but now my hair is damaged from all the blow drying. So I'm sure if my hair just got damaged by a stupid blow dryer, your hair will get damaged if permed twice.

Ok some people are confusing perms with relaxers. A relaxer is retouched (but CAN be pulled thru the ends last minute if the wave comes back) on the new growth only. A perm must be reapplied throughout the entire head of hair, you can't just perm new growth unless there's some crazy technique I wasn't taught. Ask your stylist if she thinks your hair is healthy enough to perm again. Only she can give you a good answer, as I can't see your hair's condition!

You should really try to wait beceause one perm alone is very damaging and adding more perm solution to that is twice as damaging (obviously). Also take into consideration whether you've dyed your hair recently because that's EXTREMELY damaging. You'd be better off consulting a professional hair stylist about this for a more accurate answer.

Yes, it definitely can. You must wait until it GROWS out, not fades out. The curl effects of a permanent wave are strongest for the first 3 months, but the chemical is there until you cut it off.
There are hairdressers who can use special products that will protect your hair from severe damage while giving you a new one. They are trained by the Nexus company. It is expensive, so you have to think about what is most important to you.

I don't think you ought to perm your hair more than once a year. It isn't so much your hair but your Hair follicles you might be damaging by over perming, teasing, bleaching, tying too tight, shaving the head,, etc. its all the same.. The more you mess with your hair, the more chances you might end up bald someday for it..

No, especially not after all of this time. As long as you wash your hair in between perms, you're okay. I get a perm about every two months and a touch up in between, so you'll be okay.

i perm my hair last dec, i don really like the perm & it looks really bad too, its really dry & the condition of it is not good.
try not to perm it now, wait untill maybe august if u really wan to perm it again. If u wan it to be nice looking, try some olive oil for hair, it soften the hair & it looks natural.
If u wanna style ur hair, try loreal oil, the orange bottle 1 its really good. u can get them in any deparmental store.

I used to get perms and I waited about 6 months for the next one. Effects: split ends (either from scalp-to the very ends or from the ends to partway to the scalp), thicker

pass back on your stylist and tell her and tutor her the difficulty. See what she shows. Then get a 2d opinion. It basically relies upon on how broken it incredibly is. I unquestionably have seen human beings get a perm the subsequent week, if it did no longer take properly.
