I've had some horrible bf's in the past and wouldn't cheat on them and never did and now I'm with mr perfect. what does this dream mean? I did look it up but am not happy with the reason they gave me... it said that i wasn't happy when i know that i couldn't be happier.

I woke up thinking it was real and that he knew and he didn't leave me but was just very sad and that made it so much worse.

what do you think.

The things that people do in their dreams doesn't always correspond to what they would do in real-life. Sometimes, the action is a metaphor for something else we are thinking.

Cheating can be considered an act of aggression, of lashing out, or even an act of self-destruction.

The horrible bf's in your past have made you wary of being with somebody. But the fear is not just of them doing something bad to you, its also a fear of you doing something self-destructive or bad to yourself/your relationship.

In other words, the cheating in your dreams is your fear that you will sabotage your relationship with your husband or that your past will eventually sabotage your relationship with your husband. It's you 'cheating' because it is your experience and your past that you feel is causing the fear and insecurity, although it is really the bf's that have caused it.

Everyone makes bad choices, and they make them for the reasons they had at the time. But that doesn't mean that they have to keep making them or that they will keep making them.

The only 'cheating' you are doing is not telling your husband all the fears that you have. The fears, and the past associated with them, are not past yet and you are keeping them 'secret' (which is also where the cheating part comes in, the hiding from the other spouse.)

If you want to stop cheating in your dreams, start telling your husband whats going on with you, and as many times as it takes. The past is only over when its over, when we make the choices that make us different from the person we were, not when we want it to be.

Cheating can represent a lie that you aren't telling your husband, or a secret in general. Maybe there's something that you've kept from him, or something he doesn't know about your past that you've been wanting to share with him.

However, there's also that possibility that it's just an unconscious expression of the things you won't let yourself think about while you're awake. Obviously, you aren't thinking about cheating on your husband, so you express the thoughts in your dreams. This is why people dream about killing other people, relationships ending, etcetera - anything that they don't let themselves think about or don't want to think about.

(On a sidenote, I'd like to add that all dreams about cheating, killing, and so on aren't necessarily an unconscious release - they can have meanings, too. It's really up to you to analyze the dream and see what it's trying to tell you.)

From a modern psychological viewpoint, dreams do not have meaning. The majority of psychologists and psychiatrists agree with this notion. If you find any "Understanding Your Dreams" website online, I can guarantee that it is not based on a legit psychological base.

So, back to your question... Your dreams mean nothing. They are random impulses being sent through your brain, and you dream about everyday things, your fears, your dreams, your friends. But like I previously states, the majority of modern psychologists, including myself, do not believe that dreams have meaning.

This dream prompts you to realize that in fact, your husband is wonderful and he'd never leave you for a "mistake." It doesn't necessarily mean a horrible mistake/choice like cheating. It means that even if you aren't quite perfect, he is still there for you and loves you. :) Don't worry about it - in time this will go away as you feel more secure loving a person that is good for you.

I think the dream is from fear, you had bad bf's and this guy is perfect; you may be afraid it is too good to be true. I get a feeling you can trust your feeling and your pick this time. It isn't your fault that your past boyfriend's cheated on you.

By the way you are beautiful your boyfriend probably thinks you are perfect too.

First of all......forget all those " Dream interpretation " books. Those people may have fancy titles before their names, but they really don't have any idea why anyone dreams anything. They just take a guess that sounds believable and make some cash off of it. It's a dream. It doesn't mean you want to screw around on your boyfriend. We all have dreams.......hell.....some of them don't even make sense. Now.....if it's a reoccurring dream, you might have something deeper going on. But if it isn't.......let it go. No need to beat yourself up over a dream.

I've had dreams like that too and they are very disturbing. But I dont put much stock in dreams. What matters to me is real life. I know that in real life I'm happy and faithful and thats all that matters.

Satan gives dreams to. In your case he is planting seeds in the forms of dreams. In the bible we are warned about the two methods that satan uses mostly to affect our futures. Via the eye gate and the ear gate. Yeat we are also warned about the mind. In the mind is were the battle is. Satan is sending dreams to your mind. The result he hopes for is to bring destruction into your relationship with your good husband.
Yes these kinds of dreams can be very real. The bible instructs us to put on the helmet of salvation and the protection afforded in arming ourselfs with the word of God.
So to protect your mind from attacks from the devil. You have to cover your mind by putting on the knowedge of the word of God. He and his words are our only real method of defeating satan in one life.
