Why block the atheists? Why not just use the scroll wheel on your mouse to scroll past their questions and answers?

or even better...If you want to discuss religion and spirituality, but don't want to be troubled by those who disagree with you, why not just get on a good Christian forum. I'm sure they are out there.

As far as I'm concerned, dealing with people who have a different spirituality than I do is the best way to grow spiritually. In fact, that's why I'm here--to grow, and maybe help others grow. You can't do that when you are not open to disagreement and iseas that don't mirror your own.

Whether you beleive in the historiocty of Jesus or not, you cannot deny that the central theme of the Jesus story is self-sacrifice. That's what Christianity (to be Christ-like) is all about. According to the story, Jesus had nails driven through his hands and feet, and was hung for hours to suffocate under his own weight. Is it too much of a sacrifice for you to be exsposed to atheist rhetoric?

Is it not your place to give good, solid answers when they ask a question designed to trip you up? Answering with "faith", "its in the Bible" or simply ignoring them gives them strength. Answer them the way Christ would, and respond to their answers in the same way. That's with intelligent and well-thought-out questions.

Unfortunately it does not block you from seeing their posting. I blocked someone and their answers still show up. The only difference is it has a cute little red circle with a red line through it on their answer.

I really don't know what the purpose of it is.

Jesus came not for the righteous but for sinners. Doesn't it kind of defeat the purpose for Christians to block out the atheists from religious discussion? To what end, so we can have long sessions of agreeing with each other and patting each other on the back?

Don't do that. I want to hear what everyone has to say. I mean their are answers from both sides that I don't like. But I find interesting things from both. It's about learning and having fun not just supporting your beliefs.

John 15:19
If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

Why do we need to block the world out? Jesus has his own methods of looking after his sheep.

Why would we block em out...it's not a fun day until you have an atheist to laugh at...I'm going to guess they'll say the same about us lol

I don't think ignoring other people's views is very "christian like". If I were a Christian I would want to know about all other religions (or non religions) and see how they differed from my own.

It is a gift from God
we are blessed,
no longer will we have to hear their logical explanations or scientific evidence. I'm glad we can go back to our beliefs and not have to listen to anything that might make us think.
Thank you father God
