I had a dream....actually a freakin nightmare 2 nights ago and I can't get it out of my head. I dreamt that this girl I've known for 11 years died. (A month ago, we stopped talking because I came to my senses and didn't allow her to use me anymore.)Long story short, in the same dream, the very next day, my husband died! I can understand the first one...dying=departure, but I totally don't get that my husband died too!!! I am totally happy with him and we have a great relationship. Any suggestions?

The fact that a 'friend' died (and the fact that you became aware of the fact that relationships can indeed die) immediately made you worry or suspect other friendships or bonds that might/could die/change.

The reason it was your husband was because 1) the first 'death' sounds like it had alot of strong emotions attached to it, mostly negative, so the strength of the bond had to be replayed with another 'strong' feeling and 2) death not only brings freedom but vulnerability, so your mind dreamt of the thing you would be most vulnerable to lose.

Another thing is that when a calamity happens, it alters our perception to see calamities as being more possible. Someone whacking us with their arm suddenly, and mostly momentarily, makes us aware of their arm, wondering if they are going to whack us again, either in the same place or someplace else.

Your emotional mind got whacked and its simply trying to deal with any other 'whacks' that might be coming.
