I dont know if it is equal to the Ninja but there was a group formed during the Islamic Crusades known as the Assassins. They were chiefly responsible for assassinating heads of state and terrorising Christians in the conquered territories. In fact the word "assassin" comes from the Arabic word "hashishin" which basically meant, "one who commits murder while hyped up on hashish." The Assassins would smoke ample quantities of hashish before their missions especially if it were a suicide mission.
The Iranian organization, Fedayan-e Islam was a revival of the Assassin culture.

possibly the assasins, high as a kite on hash, but trained and schooled as the ninja were nope.
