It will be in the system eventually, and it's obvious the Officer didn't write the ticket a year ago. The error will be amended in court.

Call your clerk of court. Look the number up in the phone book in the government section.

As far as the wrong date goes it is amendable. The DA can ask the judge to amend the date to show the year to be 2007. Not a big deal.

Nope - more than likely, it won't be dismissed.

It happens quite a bit around the beginning of the year...

Call the courts with the cite number - just because it's not showing up doesn't necessarily mean you're off scot-free. You don't show up and you may end up having a warrant issued for your arrest.

Next time, stop at the stop sign. That's what they're there for...

Well, I have a question:

Have you ever wrote a check, and wrote the wrong year on it? I have done it time and time again, year after year. It is human error, and it is one that isn't going to correct what you did.

Now, you broke the law, and you are looking for a way to get out of it? Didn't everyone just yell and scream about Paris Hilton trying to do the very same thing? You broke the law. Pay the damn fine and be done with it.

Go to court you have a very good argument, the wrong date is the wrong date. Explain when you go to court what you were doing on the date of the ticket in 06.

Be honest and pat the ticket! They will figure it out all else they will ask the officer, so just pay the ticket and move on.

what difference does it make if the officer made a mistake on the date? human beings make mistakes just like you did when you ran the stop sign.

the ticket has a #, that wont match the wrong date. better just go, and see what happens.

Maybe the officer got you last year and was slow to put it in the system.
