While I can see where the term "pot" came from the usage of opium, I remain most curious as to where the term came from for the use of marijuanna. If anyone can add some additional details to help me understand, I'd be grateful. Thanks. It's not easy being a curious cat.

Because at some time in the past, the smoke was inhaled as bubbles through an earthen container attached to a pipe containing the dry lit poppy leaves. To get the ultimate daze and wildest mind-phantasmagorias, some folks put liqueur inside the pot. The only side effect is that hair grew from their ears! Whenever you see those with bushy ears, know that most likely at some time in their life, they used pot with strong liqueur like Bond 7 or Smirnoff Vodka!
