My wife uses that stuff all the time and she looks awesome. Of course I'm biased, but I'm sure I could get an Amen on that.
I don't know what it costs, but I'm sure it's worth it. My wife is not one to spend money frivolously, so if she swears by it, that's good enough for me.

Ive worked in cosmetics and sold Clinique and Arden for 3 years....
Price wise, Clinique and Arden are the 2 cheapest cosmetic lines in department stores. (compared to Estee, Lancome, MAC, etc.) The 3-step system will last for about 6 months, and sometimes longer if you use it day and night as recommended. The only thing that no one tells you is that is it really a 4-step system. You will actually need a cleanser before you do the actual 3-step. The cleansers vary depending on your skin type. The good news is that the cleansers are only about $15. You will most likely run out of your cleanser long before you run out of your 3-step. The basic 3-step system starts at $52.50, and may go a few dollars higher depending on which versions of which products you get. The liquid soap is slightly higher than the bar version. Nevertheless, if used correctly it does work wonders!
If you're talking about their acne line, I use it and its great! Its kept me clear for years now. Its worth every penny and more!
Now if you're wondering how it compares to drug store brands....
The main difference between the drug store vs. the department store is the technology. Many of the products at your local Wal-mart were in department stores 10+ years ago. Many of those cosmetic companies in department stores are actually the same company as those brands in drug stores. After an item has been replaced in a high-end line with something newer, the old one gets shipped back to the manufacturer. Sometimes they repackage these items and sell them under a different name and label. A good example of this is Lancome. They own/are Loreal. The Loreal foundation Infallible 5 years ago was actually Lancome's Teint Idole originally. The difference is that Lancome came out with something newer that works better, so they move it to a "lower end" market. And all they did was repackage it and rename it! So the main difference is in the quality. If you want the best that is out there, go to your favorite department store!

I have used the three step program for a while and its wonderful! If you set up a consultation they always give free samples of the three step program at clinque! They most likely will give you the face soap bar and the clarifying lotion the rest you might need to pay for but other than that Go for it!
