As someone just told me: "The dead babies do not suffer, because they can no longer feel any pain (they died in their sleep)."

God is God and we aren't.

First of all, there is only one God and we are not Him, and never will be- He is the only one that has the right to give or take a life. Dead babies may not feel pain, but the babies that women choose to abort feel pain during an abortion- it is a scientifically known fact. God is God and we aren't that is all I can say.

>_< cuz he had a reason to do so. Ever heard that play that goes...:
"Let my people go!!" and the guy sings it and its all like high pitched and long?
The egyptians were oppressing the jews so God sent the plagues to forcefully free the jews=)
You have no right to abort a child that can become someone one day. Who knows? The child you abort today might have been the president of tomorrow. (tomorrow being the future)

Well well. Depending on what is your spiritual and moral believe. Some people are dead set against abortions regardless of the reasons. Those people are the ones that are still living in the stone age. There are reasons why religions forbid abortions. 1 so as to not encourage wanton abortions. 2 In the old old days its really dangerous to abort a baby.

I believe that aborting a baby due to medical reasons is OK. Its not like you are doing it for convenience. If that is not allowed then Tell those people who disagree not to see a doctor when ill not to take any medicine when they are sick. And see if God will take care of them if they don't take care of themselves.

God does a lot of things that we might not understand because his thoughts are much greater than ours. And besides "thou shall not kill" doesn't aply to him because he's...well...God....and think about it....without the death of the first borns...those hebrews would have probably never gone free...havent u ever watched that one movie The Prince of Egypt ? and abortion is different because you are taking a life away that didnt belong to you and the lives of those first borns were already his for the taking

Are you referring to when God took all of Egypt's first born as punishment for Ramses not letting the Israelites free from bondage? That's not something you can compare to abortion since our women aren't keeping his chosen people as slaves. Moreover, a baby has done nothing wrong -- EVER -- to deserve being murdered.

Not such a good thing to second guess God BTW.

@Ev: I haven't in all my life seen any inconsistencies in the Bible or my beliefs, can you please point them out if you think there are any?

The difference is that people want abortions, which is like wanting to send your child to the electric chair or to a noose. In the biblical times God took away their sons because he was cursing them for doing wrong towards his people. They didn't want their children to die unlike those who get abortions.

She is talking about the tenth plague visited on the Egyptians in Exodus. In that situation, God did the killing. With abortion, man is doing the killing. Man is "playing God" when it comes to abortions.

To apply your logic with adults: God causes people to die all the time (natural causes, old age, etc.), so whats so wrong with me killing you?

How about something not involved with killing: God provides for people to get new cars (jobs, money, etc.) so whats wrong with me stealing your car?

If you are wanting justifiation for abortion, you asked the wrong question.

Because the people aborting ARE NOT God...no one should have the right to play God.

Nothing is wrong about abortion. you are saving someone from living. imagine never having been born. once you are born, you are stuck.

Abortions are murder.

We humans are not allowed to take another human life.

God is our Creator, He can give and take life as He sees fit.

We answer to Him, He does not answer to us.
