discipline and why do you still have the pups at 4 months old? I assume this was an oh well she's pregnant so we will keep the pups? PLace an ad in your paper and find good homes for them cause MOM nor you need to have the pups around and then get her fixed and don't add to the problem of careless breeding.

May i ask why the mother has pups that old still with her...If you breed to sell then they should have already been weened, given shots, wormed and found their forever homes...If this is a pup you kept out of a litter for yourself then you should have them on a feeding schedule apart from one another. And as far as why she is doing it well that's simply because she is like all mothers both human and animal, she has to teach them and this is a form of scolding...As well as a way of interacting with the pup while still showing it who leads the pack...

The mother is trying to get the pups to stop nursing on her milk and is trying to teach them feed themselves. So you might want to put out soft dog food.

She's simply scolding them because even dogs and puppies have pack rules they must learn and follow.

dogs do this for discipline but it could be an attempt at weaning them if they are still trying to nurse. They have sharp teeth and well...draw your own conclusions lol

she is trying to stop them from sucking more than likely if they are still trying. they have to push them away to teach them how to deal with the for real life of a dog. this is her way of teaching they will be o.k.
