No, it's not sad. I'm very happy that my conscience would NEVER allow me to worship an evil killer God who drowns, tortures and slaughters millions, conspires to have his own kid beaten and executed, and repeatedly commands his followers to torture and kill other people. Such a heinous being would not deserve praise or admiration, even if he did exist. I'd much rather spend eternity in Hell than with the immoral, Hitleresque God of the Bible, but fortunately, all that stuff is 100% fiction, so I don't have to worry about it one way or the other. Atheism is Peace.

What is sad is your perception of unbelievers.
One day you will know that all your bad behavior has been paid for and only because you denied FSM, you are rejected.
One day you will realize that the FSM has tried to set you free except that you have obstinately refused that freedom. You would rather believe you are free in your christianity, when in reality you are really sitting in jail awaiting execution.
The FSM loves you.Have you allowed the FSM to wrap his noodly appendages around you for the forgiveness of your bad behaviour?
Alfredo Sauce 3:16[mnv] For FSM so loved you, that he would wrap his noodly appendages around you, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but become free people leading rational lives.
so when we believe in FSM we lead rational lives. FSM lived a sinless life and gave up his noodly appendages as a sacrifice so we can think for ourselves. Ask FSM to come into your heart and forgive your bad behaviour and cleanse your past with the sauce of FSM.
With a simple thought you can be saved from leading irrational lives. FSM loves you and wants to lead rational lives.
[mnv] = my new version

Due to the fact that these
Christians use the Protestant Old Testament which is lacking 7 entire books 2 (Tobias, Judith, Wisdom, Ecclesiasticus/Sirach, Baruch, I Maccabees, and II Maccabees), 3 chapters of Daniel and 6 chapters of Esther may be one of the reasons they ask catholics so many questions.
For the Sola Scriptura this is too bad .
In the 16th c., Luther removed those books from the canon that lent support to orthodox doctrine, relegating them to an appendix. Removed in this way were books that supported such things as:
prayers for the dead (Tobit 12:12; 2 Maccabees 12:39-45),
Purgatory (Wisdom 3:1-7),
intercession of dead saints (2 Maccabees 15:14),
and intercession of angels as intermediaries (Tobit 12:12-15).
The lesson, though, is this: relying on the "Bible alone" is a bad idea; we are not to rely solely on Sacred Scripture to understand Christ's message. While Scripture is "given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16-17), it is not sufficient for reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness. It is the Church that is the "pillar and ground of Truth" (1 Timothy 3:15)! Jesus did not come to write a book; He came to redeem us, and He founded a Sacramental Church through His apostles to show us the way. It is to them, to the Church Fathers, to the Sacred Deposit of Faith, to the living Church that is guided by the Holy Spirit, and to Scripture that we must prayerfully look.

No this isn't sad. This is sick. People like you don't even stop to examine what you actually believe in. You believe in an evil God who sends the vast majority of people who die to hell. Most people will die never believing in Jesus. All of the Muslims, Jews, Budhists, Hindus and anyone else who rejects Christianity and its evil dogma are all going to hell. You believe in salvation for a single group, you believe that everyone else deserves to be tortured in Hell for eternity.
How would you like it if it turned out that Islam was the true religion and you get to suffer for eternity under some Evil God.
Get educated. Examine your faith and when you find out that you believe in an evil God, abandone it.
Religious Faith is dangerous because people take actions on behalf of God. Look at what happened on 911. How about the Crusades (ever hear of them.) This is what happens when people of faith place God above their fellow man.
People come first, not God. When human beings take actions on God's behalf often times they abandone their responsibility as humans to consider others.

Why do you think it's sad? I am a good person because it's my responsibility as a member of our species. I need no promise of everlasting joy nor do I need the threat of eternal damnation. If these are the reasons practitioners who are christians, jews, muslims, hindus, Buddhists, shintoists, and any other religion use to modify their behavior, that's really a shame.

Why do you people do this? Why can't you just accept that not everyone believes in what you believe in? And you people wonder why some atheists and other relegions act this way; most of the time it's out of defense! And if you feel so damn confident enough to tell people they're going to hell because they don't believe how you do, then I feel no sympathy for you when they tell you you're stupid enough to believe.

It's pretty sad that you sit at home typing things people have heard a thousand times when you could be doing volunteer work somewhere and offering some real help. Jesus wouldn't have sat around at his computer all day.

Why is it that so many god-botherers have such a poor education? Do the fundamentalists think that reading and writing are tools of the devil?

I believe in god, but how did Jesus save us, did he really, I didn't want to come to this world, he did all this for bad ppl, He shouldn't've done anything, he should've just asked god to destroy this planet w/ everything it, right, also, why did he create sex, if it's a sin, why is he tempting us?
