I'm 16 y/o never had braces and always had perfect teeth. Just recently a small gap has come between my two front teeth. I haven't got any wisdom teeth yet ( I don't think) Will this gap close and is it a good thing to have extra room when wisdom teeth come in? Thanks for all the help!!!

you can get bondings to fill the gap(white color fillings) or when you get older they can give you crowns that fill the gap...but if your wisdom teeth come in it mat shift your teeth and shift the gap together...go to your dentist and ask him his opinion as well....it can hurt..just asking...good luck..

I had a pretty big gap when I was a teenager, but slowly, it's been growing together. My center teeth just started touching last year when - BAM, my 3-year hits my mouth with his head while jumping in a pool. His head was fine, but it moved one of my teeth back and I had to have it filed so I could close my teeth.
I was told when I was 22 that braces would not have helped, but bonding could be an option.

most likely the gap will not close since u've already got all of your permanant teeth, that gap has nothing to do with your wisdom teeth, i think(i m a registered dental assistant), see a dentist if u think the gap really bothers u, u have several options, if it's my mouth, i would do braces out of all options!

Depends on how big of a gap. But not usually though.

IF YOU'RE 16 YOU STILL DON'T HAVE YOUR WISDOM TEETH. IF YOU WERE TO BRACES YOU MAY STILL HAVE A DIASTEMA OR SPACE.
WHY?
SOMETIMES FIBROUS TISSUE EXISTS BETWEEN YOUR TWO FRONT TEETH OR A UPPER LABIAL FRENUM MAINTAINS THIS SPACE.
FOR THESE CASES SOME MINOR GUM SURGERY IS NEEDED.

Ask your dentist about porcelain veneers. They will close the gap.

It probably will not close up without braces or a retainer.
