My son was 2 when he started asking for my coffee and saying "Mmmm. I love hot coffee!" and he started riding a 2 wheeler without training wheels the month he turned 3. The first time he blew on a harmonica, he started stomping one foot just like a blue grass instrumentalist. Yesterday he dove into a pool head first for the first time. Unprompted. I didn't see it, but the lifeguard did. He has not been to any swim lessons. He is only 3 1/2! He seems so familiar with new things! I'd love to hear your stories!

I just remembered an incident that happened years ago with my daughter...she was around 2...very good with drawing shapes and recognizing letters...she drew a small "t" and said it was Jesus. Then she drew a circle with lines like a shining sun...and said "Jesus' face." Like she had heard about the Transfiguration before. Her Sunday school teacher had not covered the transfiguration in class.

My daughter is into health and recycling. I am not. We eat kinda healthy, but she is only 7and has insisted for years that we eat healthy, excerise and now insists that we recycle. I know she picked some of it up from school or distant family.. but she naturally does this. She doesn't sunburn, but she will use sunscreen to protect herself from the UV rays. She is really into HEALTH and saving the enviroment at 7! We dont' do that at home.. well now we do to a point for her.

Also, her soul is very mature. She has many 'old' traits that make her very caring and trustworthy and honest

I personally don't really believe in reincarnation. Who says everyone can't have their own soul? But as to your real question, some people, (kids included) just take to some things naturally. The diving headfirst could have been something he saw at a pool sometime or on TV. Bluegrass players stomp their feet because its a natural expression of rythem and the bike...well, he's got really good balance! My son hopped on one foot for two straight hours when he was a year old just because he thought it was cool! Congrats on having two awesome, talented, extremely bright young children!

This is a wonderful! You have a very talented young person on your hands.

You would be amazed how much kids pick up on their own. Kids, especially smart ones, absorb everything.

I believe in reincarnation. My son had this fascination with the letter "W". He could read it, write it, and say it when he was 1 year old. I only wish I knew what he wanted to say. I and certain it had something to do with a previous life.

Remember that the important life is one he is in now, not the one he left.

Besides the harmonica, it seems its not new things he likes, its dangerous things. Did he have a bike helmet on? How deep was this water? Plus coffee with or without caffeine, for a 2 year old? and hot???

What does this have to do with reincarnation?

maybe or maybe not on the reincarnation but my kids (all kids) had defined personalities from birth. They seemed to have skills and interest in their very genes. It is weird but I think it is nature at it's finest...or something else, who even really knows but I agree that there is something there unique as if they were reincarnated.

That being said, a friend's child (of 4 years) said he was a Japanese fighter pilot. He had no reason to think that but the kid was sure of it...

They say that kids and animals are the most psychic things on the planet, which is why kids can see ghosts until we convince them that they're not real.

I was disciplining my two year old daughter (at the time) and she was upset by having to go time out. She thought I was being mean. And she turned to me, crossed her arms and stomped her foot and sternly said....

"I was nice when I was the mommy."

Go figure..........

I don't have any first hand experience with children having past live memories but I have read some interesting books on it. It says that most children forget these memories by the time they start school.

My daughter learned to do forward rols without being shown, and started singing the 'Okey Kokey' all by herself the other night.
She knows so many things that I am sure she didn't get from me!
