Unfortunately, I think I work one right now as a security officer. I have been a security officer for 1.5years. Within the next year to 1.5years I will have a better job. Hopefully working as a postal carrier or actuary.

Oh yes...let's see, school system for 7 years top pay $ 9.11.
Then it was secretary for marketing & communications of a hospital for 7 months, which paid 10.75 while being treated as bosses kicking dog till advised by a therapist that I was dealing with an unstable boss and needed to get out before I got so sick I could not function. Then worked as a Pharmacy Tech. for 14 months, till company down sized letting go of the last ones to be hired. $10.60. Now on unemployment looking for a position. Working and life isn't easy, but still blessed to be in the U.S.A. & considered the richest people in the world just living here. Many Thanks to those individuals and families which have and are still giving of their lives so we may have the freedom to choose where we want to live and work.

Part of growing up is going through the "crappy jobs". After the war I had a lousy 8 years.I worked the steel mills(hot, hard work),refueled aircraft(dirty and dangerous),and several other jobs. There were times that I was unemployed and had to work digging graves at the county cemetery to keep food on the table for my kids and wife. Then in 1978 it all changed and I finally got hired by the Postal Service as a carrier.I retired 3 years ago and am comfortable. Most important is making a plan and sticking to it,so you'll be able to retire when you want.Hard work never killed anyone, though there were times when I thought so.

There are many more important things than money in this world. And there are places and styles of life which don't take much money to live on. Money is not the most important thing to be considered when choosing the job. But the level of income should be enough to afford everything you suppose worth spending your time to get it. So first of all you should enjoy your work.

Honestly, I wish I had a low-paying, crappy job right now. I just got done with school and am desperate for a job. So, if it helps a bit, know that I'd gladly take your job as a security officer... even if it really does suck.
