It IS a danger and Julie doesn't have a clue. If the ***** chews the cord closer than half an inch, and continues to worry at the cords after the whelping is done, she can gut the puppies. You know, gut? Disembowel? I have SEEN it too many times in vet practices which as a college educated tech, I have worked for. As for "dogs have been giving birth for whatever long period of history"...bullshyt. They have also been DYING from being left on their own, and have been killing their puppies form lack of intelligent intervention for centuries. Don't be a dick.
