Drive your car less, cremations contribute to 20% of greenhouse gas emissions. There's not much you can do as an individual and since people pay no heed to global warming, it is unlikely that anything will be ever done until it is too late. Al gore is right that we are doomed if this continued. Unless people work together as one, then nothing will be done. In 100 years, global warming will melt the icecaps and put the statue of liberty underwater. Really, the best thing you can do is to advocate anti-global warming. Go join some club or group that is advocating the dangers of global warming. It is urgent that the general public know about this. Anyways, thats pretty much the most that you could do. Good Luck

oh i suggest you watch a documentary entitled "an inconvenient truth" by Al Gore. it would really open your eyes about the extent of global warming and its effects on our environment worldwide. you would see how the glacier melted drastically in a short span of time, how the polar bears will die due to exhaustion in swimming continuously without any ice to rest on, the projected rate of carbon dioxide elevation for the next few years, the increase in temperature, the heat waves that kill thousands and so many more consequences of global warming as a result of human activities. watch it! i watched it last night and it made me realize so much. i am looking forward to your enlightenment about the topic after you watch the documentary. several ways to combat global warming (on your own) are also given at the end of the docu.

Reduce, reuse and recycle. recycling paper, aluminum cans and bottles saves thousands of tons of smog into the air. Dont take that plastic bag at the grocery store, or put one extra item in. Drive less. Give your old clothes to goodwill.
I also believe in living simply so that others might simply live. America is such a consumerist society, we could all cut back just a bit. That doent mean not having nice things, that means making it last just a little longer, and giving to someone else like a church or goodwill when were done.

Well, walking or riding a bike instead of driving for one, using electricity is part of global warming too so cutting back on it would help, there's lots you can do. A bunch of little steps add up to one big one! :)

You can do quite a bit. I'd suggest walking/ riding a bike, driving less, drive a hybrid, limit water use, turn off lights, buy fluorescent light bulbs, unplug cell phone charger when not in use, recycle as much as possible, research the topic as much as possible, use cloth bags and not plastic, don't burn wood.
Check out grist.org, treehugger.com, stopglobalwarming.org.
These are great websites and they are on myspace as well.
Keep up the good fight!!!

in case you prefer to get carry of grant money for climate study, do you think of which you will get a cheque in case you're saying," i want the grant, as i think of that i'm able to tutor that the figures that the present paradigm is predicated upon are incorrect" ? the super environmentalist, David Bellamy, has been silenced, and refused airtime. there continues to be no shown causative link between the quantity of Co2 interior the ambience, and an improve in worldwide temperatures. The WWWF photos of the polar bears swimming have been taken interior the Arctic summer time; whilst the ice cap in part melts, as they could no longer arise to image interior the wintry climate. The ice became too thick! The East-Anglian uni study figures. "Oh! The figures do no longer tournament our expectancies. Oh properly. save quiet. simply by fact all of us understand that we are desirable." whilst the thought, and the religion is extra substantial than squarely dealing with the valid doubts of distinctive non grant-supported scientists, technological know-how has been superceded by making use of non secular zealots. As Oliver Cromwell colourfully mentioned." I pray thee, interior the bowels of Christ, evaluate that thou mayest be incorrect."

People need to do what they feel is best. We only have 22 more years before Asteroid "2004 MN4" hit the Earth and kill everyone. So, how long this Global Warming going to take? Heck, we all going to be dead anyway.
Of course, this only if the Mayan predictions for 2012 not kill us first.

You can listen to celebrities and use only one sheet of TP every time you take a crap. Or just recycle, use less oils/fossil fuels. All that good stuff.
