In the book of Obadiah 1:1 it says "we have heard a rumor from the lord" This is dangerous and could certainly lead to war, and it could lead one to start wars based on rumors. Shame on the lord for acting like a man!

The translation I have says "message". It depends on which version you use as to which word it uses. The hebrew word for this is smua and I cannot use the same exact symbols as the original language. The word means- - message, rumor and report and synonyms are--rumour, tidings, report, fame, bruit, doctrine, mentioned, and news.

I don't think he was 'playing around.'
I think by rumor he meant a warning. That's what I take it to mean.

Hope this helps.

The word 'rumor' is what is confusing to you. This roughly translates to 'message' or 'tidings' in modern language. It doesn't mean rumor the way we use that word today.

I have answered your other question asking if the Lord loves gays. WHY are you against him and why are you TRYING to find ''faults''? For the Lord All Mighty has none. You will look forever.

you are in my prayers.
