I mean, the atheists. They always are trying to get us to not believe. It's not like we're hurting anyone. Just let us believe what we want and you can believe what you want. like i said before, more than 2 thirds of the world believes in a being like god. they must have a reason to. I almost get why they don't understand why we believe. They just don't know what it's like. If they would spend one day in our shoes, they would realize how much better it is. It's like that quote I always use (just because I like it soo much)

"Be in courage" in Jesus name. You can't even let your spirit be disrupted by people who don't believe in Jesus. Actually the devil does believe and tremble, you just have to know what spirit people are operating under. Think about why do nonbelievers spend so much time trying to fight against the Word of God? Because the enemy hates anyone who resembles the image Of God. "Put on the whole armour of God", and remember "we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spirtual wickedness in high places" Don't even let the enemy steal your joy. Put the Word Of God on him.. Don't even cry when you are persecuted..the enemy likes to think he has hurt the Saints of God.

I'm a Christian and have been curious about that too. What I seem to find, at least from what I have seen, is that everyone is trying to be right and almost no one is caring to listen to the other to better understand what they are about. Did you know that the leading cause of people becoming Atheists is Christians. We go through the actions and go to Church, but when it really counts a lot of us go on with the same lifestyle we had before we believed or that of an unbeliever. Let them believe what they will and If they decide to change they are welcome to; just don't cast them out because they have different beliefs.
As for the Atheists on here; please treat us with the same respect. Try to understand that when you ask a question dealing with our or another's religion, you will get a response from a believer of some sort. Please, do not toss it aside and wright that person a nasty comment; they were simply trying to answer your question to the best of their ability. Believe me when I say that know it can get frustrating at times; we feel the same way. Just breathe and think clearly before you lash out and, I can not vogue for the others, but I will do my best to do the same.

Believe what you want, no one is stopping you.
The majority of people once believed the earth to be flat-the belief didn't make it true.
Are you upset because you feel that we are forcing or beliefs upon you, or are you upset because not everyone believes what you believe?
With regards to the quote-to play it on the safe side, you might want to follow every religion in existence. I'd hate for you to die and find out you'd been following the wrong one.

On the contrary. Most atheists I see on this forum could care less what you believe or don't believe. It is the militant fundie christians that are insisting that unbelievers convert to god-believers because they are commanded by their god to do so.
So, your question should really be directed to your own.

I don't think atheists are really trying to get us to not believe. They are 1) expressing why they DON'T believe, and 2) trying to challenge us into actually THINKING about why & how we came to believe. This is NOT a bad thing! God doesn't want mindless drones, He wants us to use our heads & isn't offended by our fears, doubts, or questions. He's GOD, he can handle it!

Ah, back to Pascal's Wager.....
Everyone is trying to convert everyone else to their belief (or lack of belief) system. Because each of us, for whatever reason think ours is right, and all the others are wrong.
If you want to show them how wonderful believing is...do it by example not proselytizing.

I couldn't care less what anyone believes, that is entirely up to them. I do care, however, when others try to impose their beliefs on me. I will fight against discrimination and anti-science as long as I live. If that means I am against Old Testament Fundamentalists then so be it.

I honestly don't know. Rather than waste my time and worry about what they think, I concentrate to what Jehovah God thinks of me.
