1. Which god? Respecting one disrespects the others.
2. Actually doesn't matter which god, because there's no evidence for any such being.
3. Any benefit the world receives by those who do respect a god concept is far outweighed by the detriment the world endures for the same reason.
4. Respecting an idea there is no evidence for is a waste of time, and the time you have is the only time you'll ever have.
5. Reality is preferrable to fantasy when it comes to what is true. Now, if you want to paint a picture, compose a song, or write a story, great - I'll get into the fun of fiction right along with you. When you start believing it's true, I start thinking you might be delusional.

Most importantly: it's hard to respect and honor the authority of something that doesn't exist. I know this is a difficult concept for you, but since it's us you're asking that's the big answer.
I could list more to fill out your five, but from there it all gets hypothetical and the first is really the important one.

As you likely know, worship is largely a matter of faith. Having faith, produces belief in the reality of the divine, and creates a framework with the logical conclusion that the divine has authority which should be respected.
However, barring the existence of faith and a belief in the reality of the divine, there is no motivation of obliging to follow the rules of worshipers...
That should be pretty clear, I hope....

1.....not everyone believes in your god
2.....you can't prove that any gods exist
3.....logic and reasoning
and by saying "two-thirds of the population believes" does nothing to prove your point. it just proves how gullible people can be.
thats all i have.....
i do not respect the honor and authority of a god because I do not believe in a god.

The Bible contains mistakes and is unclear in many places.
We have no way to know that God exist, he hasn't proven himself yet.
He orders and commits murders and evil things throughout the Bible.
Science contradicts most of what the Bible has to say.
History contradicts the Bible.
