It is supposed to be satanic. The cross has always been used by pagans and druids. Peter was hung on a cross and it was upside down. Satan always has a counterfeit.

I assume an upside down cross means the same thing as a right side up one? Nothing.
...supposed to be scary, though?
Personally, I prefer the crucifix branding of a vampire's face...you know when it sizzles and smokes like a fat pork loin dropped on a hot barbecue.
Gotta' go, suddenly hungry for some reason?
I'll leave you with this: "Do not fear an upside down cross...however, never attempt to roll-over an upside down priest."

Actually it is the same as the peace symbol, which is a cross turned upside down and the arms broken. That came out of my generation in the 1960's. They were trying to say God was dead and that peace would come from human effort not from Christ's atonement.

Peter was hung upside down because he thought he was not worthy of being Jesus
friend...and from what I remember, the up side down cross is a sign of the Devil...
Satan is mocking God by doing this.
