There is no evidence to prove that memory cells exists.

In my study of the histology of the heart under the elect. microscope, I have never encountered the memory cells in the heart (most of them are found in the brain). I am sorry to break your heart, but these cells seem to be non-existent. People that claim that memory cells of the heart exists are not medical doctors, but rather psychologists (those who deal with behavior).

The term paper :
Knowing By Heart: Cellular Memory in Heart Transplants
by Kate Ruth Linton, Montgomery College

is about anectodes from post-heart transplant patients, no direct evidence shows a link that the new behavior of the patients were caused by the tranplanted heart.

There are thousands of heart transplant patients and majority still retained their old personality after the procedure.

Heartmath claims to see the little brain in the heart is just the SA node. (and it is doubtful if the tissue from which they got their sample is the heart)

The PURPOSE OF THE sinoatrial node (abbreviated SA node or SAN, also called the sinus node) is the impulse generating (pacemaker) tissue located in the right atrium of the heart. It is a group of cells positioned on the wall of the right atrium, near the entrance of the superior vena cava. These cells are modified cardiac myocytes or muscle cells (not memory cells) - and their function is to keep the heart beating, even if the brain went into coma or in the event of brain death.

memory cells remember a disease and how to fight it, so memory cells in the heart should be to remember how to fight heart diseases.
