Go to this website. She is a breeder of Shih Tzus, but all dogs do the same thing. It can tell you what to look for and what to do. Good luck.

The best answer I can give you is this-let the mother do what she does naturally. If you're still worried (I'm sure you are very nervous right now), contact a veterinarian-they will be useful in giving you tips on what you can do at this point. They may want you to start thinking about bringing the pups in for a checkup. If the mother is being territorial right now as the pups are concerned, give her time to do what her instincts are telling her to do. I know you're trying to be helpful to her and her pups at this point, but she has it under control-believe me-and that's what is making her a little edgy right now. I have a pitbull as well. She is the smartest and kindest dog I've ever owned. It's a shame that really bad people give these sweet dogs such a bad name. If you're planning on selling the pups-just make sure they go to a good home where people aren't going to abuse, fight, or neglect them. I do wish you the best of luck in this matter. take care.

The mother is just being protective of her puppies. That is a normal reaction. You will need to call your vet and have mom and babies checked out. Pretty soon they need to be wormed and have their first set of shots--your vet can advise you.
Please do not breed anymore. Please also tell me you are not breeding these dogs for fighting. I hope all goes well with the puppies and you decide to have your female spayed.

AwWwWw! What breed are they? We have two American Pit Bull Terriers and our male is brindle. As far as what you should do, I have no idea! I havent ever bred any of my dogs.. I would suggest that you just let them be with their mother for tonight and call a vet first thing in the morning and see what they suggest!.... Please make sure they only go to good homes though!! There are soo many horrible people out there that buy "pit bulls" (American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers and Staffordshire Bull Terriers) just to abuse them, neglect them, and train them to be mean or not train them at all! : ( People like that have given these 3 wonderful breeds such a bad name and we need to do all that we can to fix it! These breeds deserve to be treated like the wonderful dogs they are and they deserve to have the wonderful name they once had! Please, please, please make sure they only go to the best homes! They need to go to people that know alot about "pit bull" breeds, or that are at least willing to do alot of research and learn as much as possible about "pit bulls," they need to go to people that have had experiance owning, raising, training and socializing dogs. As you know, pits are very dominate breeds and need a strong "pack leader" that can properly train and socialize them. I am sure you also already know that "pit bulls" are NOT good breeds for people that want an outside dog or people that will not be home alot. Anyway, congrats on the pups! I hope all goes well and they are all very healthy and go to wonderful, forever homes!! I wish you, your dog and all of the pups the best of luck!! : )

** I have to add that I do agree with Abby_Normal. I was going to say something to start with, but I figured I would just be nice. After reading what Abby posted though I figured if I wasnt going to say it myself I would atleast add that I feel the same way. I am 150% against breeding unless you are an experienced breeder that is breeding to maintain or better the breed. There are already way too many puppies and dogs in this world! There are soo many pups that are living on the streets and in shelters right now! There are soo many pups that are getting put to sleep everyday to make room in the over crowded shelters for all of the other homeless pups! It is soo heartless to bring more puppies into a world where there isnt even enough homes for the dogs and puppies that are already here! Especially so called "dangerous" breeds like "pit bulls!" There are soo many so called "dangerous" breed owners fighting against BSL everyday and at the same time there are people breeding more dogs for more people to abuse, neglect and train to be mean! And for what? To make a quick buck?! Thats so sad and it really breaks my heart! I just pray that all of those puppies go to wonderful forever homes and get fixed and I really hope you get your dog fixed! : (

What does you being Pamela Walkers daughter have anything to do with anything? Who is Pamela Walker? Are you saying your signed into your moms name on her right now or should I know who Pamela Walker is?? I am lost now! lol!

The mother should be feeding the puppies every 2 hours and the puppies should be nice and fat. If she isnt and they aren't then you need to be bottle feeding them. Also you need to take them to the vet 2-3 days after birth to get their dewclaws
removed -very important-.

You have your dog spayed ASAP and never contribute to the massive pet overpopulation again. There are sooooo many pitbulls being euthanized in shelters everyday because there are just way too many of them because of morons like you!

dont do anything right now, let the mother do what she was put here to do. she will clean up the mess. dont handle pups till at least tomorrow. so that they can get a good idea of mothers scent. then make sure mommy knows that you wont hurt them or else she may bite.

just make sure that the puppies have blankets and are in a warm place and check them all to make sure there is nothing wrong with any of them, and make sure that mom is doing ok too, praise her a lot she went through a rough time, by the way how many did she have?

you need to clean the mother dog up and make sure all the pups are sucking propelly, call the vet and let them know what has happened they will most likely tell you to take both mother and pups in for a check up to make sure all is ok

if she wont let you near her or the pups call the vet they will advise you what to do
good luck

Start by socializing the puppies, handling them and hugging them so they are not aggressive and like people.
