Bad BEHAVIOR is more noticable to both children and adults. Kids are yelled at for bad behavior more often than they praised for good. Oveall though, they learn from both behaviors. Simple as that. Best wishes =]

I think you're mistaken, I think children do learn from well behaved children. I have seen it many times. Kids copy other kids, whether it's to try new foods or to keep up with the other child or even to look better than the other to teachers and parents, it does go both ways. I think you might notice your child doing "naughty" things more often because they stand out. If you look at a 24 hour day and only get upset at your child once or twice then that means they are behaving well more often than being naughty. Perhaps you're just not noticing the good as much as the naughty.
Cheers,
Sarah

Because the naughty children are just showing their "independance" (I don't have to do what they tell me) and aren't as likely to want to give it up as a good kid wanting the same thing because the bad kids have so much fun with it..

I have 3 children ages 14,6, and 3 years old and all different but let me tell you bad is easier.Like those nice little cuss words from other kids. They are short and easier to say.I have learned that getting on to them for bad behavior is attention none the less.Attention is attention ignore bad and rewrd good works most times.

Some children are leaders and some are followers. Teach your children, (if you are asking about yours) to set the example by being a leader. The child will learn by consequences if you are a consistent parent.

Dont you have fun when you are bad? I know I do. I am not a bad person, but sometimes it is fun to misbehave, even as an adult. I think kids need to be bad to learn right as well. If they arent bad they wont ever really understand what good is. You cant have one without the other.

Could it be that parents of good children try so hard to show kids only the things that are good and wholesome that when they get an eyefull of bad behavior it seems unique and interesting and they want to give it a try?

There's no such thing as a good or naughty child. They are all both. They are always learning from everyone they are around.

Because they get the shocked attention, and the good ones want some of that attention, and if the only way they see that they can get it is to play up, that's what they'll do.
This is why you must always praise the good and ignore the bad.
