1 "Hear my cry, O God; give heed to my prayer.
2 From the end of the earth I call to Thee, when my heart
is faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3 For Thou hast been a refuge for me, a tower of strength
against the enemy.
4 Let me dwell in Thy tent forever; let me take refuge in
the shelter of Thy wings." Psalm 61:1-4 (NASV)
9 "The Lord also will be a stronghold for the oppressed, a
stronghold in times of trouble.
10 And those who know Thy name will put their trust in
Thee; for Thou, O Lord, hast not forsaken those who seek
Thee." Psalm 9:9-10 (NASV)
1 "I love Thee, O Lord, my strength.
2 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my
God, my rock in whom I take refuge; my shield and the horn
of my salvation, my stronghold.
3 I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I
am saved from my enemies." Psalm 18:1-3 (NASV)
24 "For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of
the afflicted; neither has He hidden His face from him; but
when he cried to Him for help, He heard."
Psalm 22:24 (NASV)
19 "Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the Lord
delivers him out of them all.
20 He keeps all of his bones; not one of them shall be

Prayers give hope although it could often be false. I will pray for your friend and hope that others will join me, but I wish you to know that prayer does not solve all. In the case of serious events, action is required.

Precious Father, I don't know this person...but You do.
I don't know what it is that she is dealing with...but You do.
I don't know what kind of testing she is going through...but You do.
I don't know how to help her, Father...but You do.
I pray, Lord, that Your blessed Will be done in her life, and that You may bring her peace.
Thank You, Gracious Father, for hearing our prayers.
Amen

No, there was a scientific study that came out a while back that stated:
"Out of those patients in the hospital that knew that loved ones and friends were praying for them, and those who nobody prayed for, the group that recovered faster and with less complications was the group of patients that no one was praying for."
