First,I am a christian. But the bible does say"come, let us reason".I mean "for God so loved the world..."Then why cast satan to said world?Being born into a "check mate" and then being judged on the inevidable seems like the worst form of intrapment, does it not?Is this his way of filtering out what "negative, evil, darkness",that existed BEFORE creation?

An all loving God wouldn't have created evil.

Which means that:

a) something else more powerful than God created it, or
b) God is not all loving.

At first it might seem that if God created all things then evil must have been created by God. However, there is an assumption here that needs to be cleared up. Evil is not a "thing" - like a rock or electricity. You can't have a jar of evil! Rather, evil is something that occurs, like running. Evil has no existence of its own - it is really a lack in a good thing. For example, holes are real but they only exist in something else. We call the absence of dirt a hole - but it cannot be separated from the dirt. So when God created, it is true that all that existed was good. One of the good things that God made was creatures who had the freedom to choose good. In order to have a real choice, God had to allow there to be something besides good to choose. So God allowed these free angels and humans to choose good or non-good (evil). When a bad relationship exists between two good things we call that evil, but it does not become a "thing" that required God to create it.

I see evil as a consequence of human choice, of alienation from God and choosing self over other. The idea of Satan as a separate entity is a human made myth, formulated by people with an ancient world view, trying to figure out the origin of evil.

Just remember there is no evil in God. I believe another reason why the universe was created was so that Satan and all his demons could be cast out of heaven. That is besides his plan to make man to live on this earth.

In a way then you could be right. There is a great mystery to godliness and this is one of them.

Sorry you are having trouble understanding this.

Everything God created he said "and it was good"

That included the angles. One of them, Satan the Devil who had free will also, chose to oppose God. By doing so Satan created evil Not God.

The term darkness in the Bible also implys seperatness or appart from God. Which by opposing God Satan serperated himself from God. In doing so he became in a state of spiritual darkness.

Hope that helped.

Evil is the result of coruption:

Satan was corrupted with jealosy,he acted on that jealousy and got himself booted from heaven

Evil in the world is the result of mankind corrupting the creation and word of God.

Basically, evil didnt exist until bad choices were made by satan and by mankind.

Here's what I think. Evil was created as a product of free choice. God wanted us to come to him on our own free will (just like you would want someone to love youfor you, not because you made them), so he gave us the choice not to. If you choose not to know God, you will inevetably fall into un-godly practices, so there is your creation of evil. I think evil is simly our choice to turn from God.

Wow, I sound like some kind of bible-thumper. I don't mean to, but I have a problem expressing myself without sounding pompous and self-righteous. Sorry. These are only my views, and if you choose to say I'm full of @&*!, please feel free to.

Evil was not created by god. As for satan, he rebelled against god and was cast out.
He believes he should be god and would like to cast god out of his throne.
Satan was allowed to visit heaven (Job)

so if it took people to make evil, then before the "creation" of man there was no evil. so that would mean that god was not good if evil didn't exist yet. right?

I am Christian too, and I ponder the same things, but I feel there are bad things in the world because without them we would not know joy, happiness, beauty and what have you... So there is evil but it is here for a reason.
