Some artists will over tattoo it with a salt solution to make it lighter soyou can eventually get a decent cover piece.
If you are trying to disguise it with makeup, you need a makeup professional that has experience with this. Most mix colors and sometimes even products and the key to a decent cover up is blending out the edges well and using the setting powder correctly.

Removing tattoos becomes important where jobs require you to be "tattoo-less" such as in the Army or in the airlines service. Bangalore has two tattoo removal clinics purportedly the first of its kind in India, where not just tattoos are removed but also other pigmented lesions such as birthmarks, moles, and freckles. They have "Q Switched ND YAG Laser" which provides treatment that is "quick, easy, relatively painless and leaves no scars". The laser system will be operational from August 23 in the two clinics in bangalore. For details, call 41148848 or 41125227.

Go to a very reputable tattoo artist and they can help you come up with a design to cover/disguise it. It will be a lot less expensive than laser, and since you like tattoos you might even like your new tattoo better than your old one!

Makeup made specifically for the body could probably conceal a tattoo for 8+ hours if you're not sweating.

cover it up with a tattoo thats more attractive to you, and a hint of advice, this time around dont go with something trendy, get something that has true meaning to it, so you wont be getting a cover up a second time... my best friends own/work in a tattoo shop, ive seen some nasty ones..

try to ovet tatoo it, get the same tatoo but with lighter ink, at least it will make it least noticeable, or u could try something else, but a little hardcore.
cut ur skin, follow the shape but instead of doing it with a lighter ink, do it with a cutter, that way, it will look, almost vanished!!! good luck
