I have been buying 5-6 bottles of Dr. Pepper a week from the vending machines at work, and at $1.25 a pop, that's a little ridiculous. I don't like the taste of it in cans - I find the aluminium gives the drink an unusual flavour. However, I can't find anywhere to buy the 20-oz bottles in bulk. I have looked at Costco, Wal-Mart, Safeway... no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd like to buy maybe 2-3 dozen bottles, and keep them in the fridge.

I checked out Sam's Club - no dice. Cans only.

The distributor (for this area, anyway) requires a minimum $500 order. That's waaay more than I want.

Any more ideas?

Sam's Club. Unfortunately, you need a membership to buy from Sam's Club. The upside is, most people have a friend or co-worker who do has a membership that they can use. They have the biggest selection of bulk food items I've ever seen.

You should try Sams Club, Costco, Smart and Final. And in southern california we have a chain of stores called Bevmo. They specialize in selling nothing but soda pop, wine, and beer. I think they might even have a web site.

If you can not find them in a store, look in the phone book for the distributor of Dr Pepper in your area. He can tell you where to buy it or sell it to you himself.

OUR SAM'S CLUB STORES IN SAN ANTONIO USUALLY CARRY THE CASES OF .5 LITER BOTTLES OF SOFT DRINKS. YOU'LL PROBABLY HAVE TO CHECK A LOCAL WHOLESALER FOR 20 OUNCE (WE HAVE LONESTAR, TRI-STAR, STAR WHOLESALE, ETC.) & USUALLY A LITTLE CHEAPER THAN THE SOFT DRINK DISTRIBUTOR. NEXT TIME YOU'RE IN AN INDEPENDENT C-STORE....ASK THE OWNER/MANAGER WHERE HE DOES HIS 'SHOPPING'.
