I have. Kinda embarrassing, but I used to call my dogs (usually when they were puppies), Mr. Pooperino, Mr. Pooper, Mr. Porker, Mr. Porkerino, and... Mr. Weinerino. Ocassionally... Pooperino The Weinerino.

This is very embarassing =( , but I guess I was a rather strange kid O_o

So can someone share a similar experience?

Yes I too call my dogs weird names. Poopers, Fat Boy, Jealous Java, round hound, Little Girl. I'm not embarrassed! I think that it's just another way for expressing love to your dog. People everywhere do it ALL the time. You shouldn't be embarassed. I have more names, but w/e.

Haha! What a funny question! lol! My husband and I have 2 American Pit Bull Terriers, we have a 1 year 1 month old male named Brooklyn and a 5 month old female named Destiny. I call Brooklyn "mr. big head" or "my little big head" sometimes and I call Destiny "smushy girl" and "munchin".. not munchkin, munchin! lol! Pits have wide heads so, thats where I got Brooklyns nick names from and Destiny is still a puppy and she still has her cute little puppy fat, thats why I call her smushy girl! I have no idea where munchin came from, but thats what I say the most! lol! Thats kind of embarrassing, but oh well! What a great question! lol! : )

Oh and I also call them both "boo boos" sometimes! lol!

Why should it be embarrassing? We all use nicknames. I have three dogs, a Terrier mix, Bear, a Beagle, Snoopy and a Pit, Honey.
Collectively I call them Pests or Dumb Sh*ts. I call Bear Devil Dog. Snoopy is Sad Sack. Honey I call Block Head.

It was my moms dog and I got to pick the name, no questions asked, and I chose to named it after a racehorse that its name brought tears to my eyes all through the race. It was Hoof Hearted ( say it 3 times faster and you'll get the point) We took it to a busy vet and he said it fast, he was in a hurry, and the whole waiting room was laughing.

Yes. I call my fat, over sized chihuahua a sausage. Seriously. He looks like a giant sausage. Also, I call my Sheltie a radioactive waste dog because anything he goes on dies within 12 hours. I also call him Dunc the Skunk. His farts... indescribable.

our pets.
What the heck, they're better companions than most people
