So I do all star cheerleading and they tell us we can't wear jewelry of any kind when we practice and I want to get my ears pierced again for the second time (above my first piercing on the lobe) But my mom says I have to keep it in for a month but as you can see I can't do that because I have to take it off at practice. Is there any way I can get it pierced and being able to take it off during practice and put back in after wiht out it being infected???

My cousin said she used alcohol to wash her earrings after her practices and hers didn't get infected. But idk.

Well, when I had gotten my ear pierced my school hadn't allowed my to keep it in and during the first month after getting it pierced I had taken out the piercing right before school and then had taken the cleaning fluid and applied it to the earring itself and randomly put it through the hole in my ear. This should work for you as well, as long as the earring itself is clean and the piercing is properly cleaned you should be perfectly fine. I hope this helps and good luck!

Why not let your ear pieced again if you are off from your practice like if you have a more than one week vacation so you don't need to remove and put your earrings most of the time. At least you can avoid holding your ears most of the time and avoid the infection. You can allow your ears heal properly. If you can't wait to have your ear pierce again when you remove and put back your earrings make it sure you sanitized your hands by washing and applying alcohol. Put Neosporin (antibiotic ointment) on your new pierced earrings and on the earrings itself before placing it back. Before also they use medicated string or thread at the ears for the piercing of newborn babies.

Before you get your ears peirced again, ask whose ever in charge of the cheerleading squad or team or whatever if it would be possible to just wear earings for the month that they need to heal. That way you won't be kicked off and still get your ears pierced. Good Luck! :)

Ever heard of clear plastic earrings? They are good for when you don't want them to be seen and when you don't want the metal to get tarnished. Just an idea but, your going to want the same pair of earrings in your ears after you first get them done. You may have to wait awhile for the second piercing. Good Luck.

You will be fine as long as you put the earrings back in RIGHT after practice. The hole wont close up in the hour or so that there is no earring in.

Get them pierced in the summer. Sure you may miss some summer sports but it's better than missing school sports.

I know, i had to get my ears pierced again because the hole closed. (right in the middle of soccer season!!!) What you do is just tape the earing down, thats what your supposed to do (from expierience!!)

so yep...just tape, later

The tiniest gold studs can blend into any skin tone. I knew someone who put string in their piercings to keep it open, I don't think that works but you can try it if you'd like.

maybe you could talk to your coachs and see if they wouldn't mind letting you wear it for a month in case of infection....And be sure to get just studs because they wo't really affect your sports! Goodluck! And i hoe this helps!
