i am having non-epileptic seizures and i am miserable ,they are what univ calf san dieho calls spells,i happened upon them one pm searching for answers,i had just been released from uab hospital in birmingham al where i was in the seizure monitoring center, they said possible epilepsy =to pseudoseizures ,my neuro dr. sent me there and after reviewing the findings ,he said that i have no neuro problem and 0 he can do ,i will not see him anymore ,just my reg. dr. i am still on meds that the neuro dr. put me on ,donot feel alone ,i hope you will make it with these type seizures,the college at uscsandiego also calls them conversion seizures,the mind and body are not in sync with each other,please read their info,it is the best i have ever read.self research has alwys helped me

I used to and they are extremely frustrating. I also have epileptic seizures. Try to remind yourself that you have no control over them, regardless of how people try to make you feel. Most people imply the only cause is anxiety. You'll have to decide if that is right for you. I have also read that things like blood sugar levels and other things can cause them.

I had a seizure disorder for about 16 years. they never found a reason and one day they just stopped.
