Wow awesome question. I think moderation is knowledge and wisdom is living it in our daily physical world. If everyone would practice that THEN we would all probably achieve universal enlightenment , wow.

Yes. Extremism is an evil. When is the last time you knew an extremist who built an orphanage? Or donate time and money to heal the sick? Or perform other selfless acts of love? Extremists know hate and violence.
