Try a bath with baking soda in the water. I have bathed my kids since they were infants with soda baths whenever they had skin ailments. I don't see why it wouldn't work for older people.

you might have eczema...chronic condition where the skin is itchy and irritated. you can try getting over the counter things like hydrocortisone cream or even aloe. but if you said, the creams don't work, then you should go to the dermatologist. I got Desonide cream by prescription and it helps more than stuff you can just buy in the store. also stay away from irritants or anything that would dry out your skin, i.e. long hot baths, pets, a lot of makeup, etc. I know it feels really really good to scratch and itch, but try to keep it to a minimum. i sympathize with you though, i have had itchy skin and eczema pretty much all my life and nothing ever truly gets rid of it forever.

You should probably go to the doctor. Because he/she could look at it and see exactly what it is and then you could get some medicine for what you've got. It's probably poison ivy, bug bite, or a rash. I don't think it's eczema bc ive got that and it don't itch at all. I just went to the doc the other day for some poison ivy that I had he precribed me some triamcinolone acetonide cream and I used it for one night and my poison ivy was almost cleared up the next day. But if you can't make it to the doctor 2day I would suggest taking some iburprofen it will help with the itching but not the swelling.

I found that Vitamin B Complex works wonders for that. My arms & legs itched so bad until I started taking Vitamin B Complex. That has most of the B vitimans in it. Try it ! I took one in the morning & one at night, for about 3 days and then just one a day. I don't itch like that anymore!

You might have eczema..But don't worry..Use cortisone cream or body lotion..That helps it sooth the skin and it really comforts it. I use to have the same problem, but I found out that you can do either of these..Hope it helps!

Try taking an antihistamine tablet to stop the itching. I go through this frequently it could be nervousness. If it gets intolerable go see your dermatologist to see if you are allergic to something.
