And stock brakes? it would do 115 mph stock. That Mustang has 40 year old brake technology, you should upgrade the brakes to modern disc before trying to see how fast it will go.

it's already geared to high, headers and free flowing mufflers would be the most help for the money.

You can run the crank advance up from 6 degrees to 12 degrees, when doing this keep a close watch on your engine temp. Put duel free flowing exhaust. also add a down force package to the front end to keep it down. The car will start to float on the road at about 115 MPH.I had a 1965 with 4 speed trans. It would do a 1/4 mile in 13 seconds and had a top end speed of over 140MPH and had more to go.I drove it this fast once and it took 4 lanes of road it floated so bad. If you wont to spend money, do yourself a favor and spend it on updating the breaks. The car already has more go than wo.

You could change the ratio of the ring and pinion. The lower the numerical ratio the higher the top speed, as long as you have the hp and torque in the engine to reach redline. When you change the gearing, it will not accerlate as fast as before because you are losing the torque multiplication of the gears. good luck.

If you change rear end gears or tire hight you'll lose take off power. The best thing to do is (and I love C4 trannys) Is swap the C4 for an AOD.It has a lower first gear ratio than the C4 so you gain take off power but with the overdrive you have less RPM at highway speeds and better fuel milage. There is little diference in lenghts so you'll have to shorten the drive shaft,do a little modifing to your crossmember and hook up the TV cable to the carb. and get a shifter for the AOD.

try to shave of weight it might not get to a higher top speed but faster acceleration time. remember power to weight ratio is the key.
